@stodalka@mtaibbi That's bizarre as he's actually Scottish, I knew Americans liked to claim him as he filed the patent in the US but had no idea Canada did too 😂
@RoyalMail don't have a way to complain about lack of service anywhere on their site or the ability to reply to any social media. Various claim options but the regular postie having Monday's off and nobody covering his round to deliver or empty post-boxes, no option for that.
🚨NEW: Teachers are raising concerns about a ban on YouTube for under-16s as many year 10 and 11 students use the platform to learn and revise GCSE content
I don't think this has been considered at all. As a parent who's child is currently sitting her exams she spends the evening before looking through a revision guide and watching a video or 2 that are recommended by her teacher.
This mean students up to Year 11 will not be able to revise GCSE biology on Freesciencelessons YouTube channel.
This also mean a 15 years and 364 days old not be able to read Facebook posts from their MP or councillor, but expected to vote for them tomorrow.
It is literally insane simultaneously to think that 16 and 17 year olds are mature enough to vote but not mature enough to look at Instagram at 8:30pm. This is comically absurd.
@anon_opin Sound like an express if only 2 self service. Could be paying cash, paying a bill, buying stamps, cigarettes, spirits, lottery tickets or any other thing that's behind the counter. Plenty of reasons to queue for a person in those stores.
@EyesOnThePriz12@KingBobIIV@DrHoenderkamp Idiotic drivel, yet you literally says "They are little better than the uni party". That's the least shit option! Saying people should vote to force a GE. Why? So we can all choose the least shit option again. Better to wait and hope there's a national 'not shit' option for 2029
@KingBobIIV@DrHoenderkamp People are so conditioned to vote for the least shit option that they can't see past that choice. Reform had millions of votes wrapped up and then started changing, now they're complaining and running on the premise of we're not going to follow through but they'd be much worse 🤷🏼♂️
@raelbrav A vote for Restore is a vote for Restore. This electoral blackmail ‘if you don’t vote for bad option X, Y will be worse’ is why the country is in a mess.
Oh yes, I remember that Bond film where the villain decarbonized the auto industry, brought fast internet to everyone on the planet, and helped paralyzed people interact with the world again.
(IMO) This 'Online Safety' stuff is being brought in now because they *know* where this country is headed in the next few years, so they're restricting our access to information and removing our right to anonymity in an attempt to mitigate the consequences of their actions.
If @CommonsSpeaker worries Parliament is being sidelined by the government he needs to do something about it
Start by making ministers and the PM actually answer the questions they are asked in the House
Otherwise the Commons becomes irrelevant and announcing important plans elsewhere first will make no difference because Parliament isn't holding the government to account on his watch
@Georgiamar47827@RupertLowe10 No, obviously not but Reform have positioned themselves as the least shit option for as many people as possible by bringing in the Tories who oversaw this. I'm sick of voting for the least shit option, reform had my vote and then they pivoted.
@Georgiamar47827@RupertLowe10 Did you not actually read what was written, Reform have welcomed in the people responsible for this happening. Why continue to vote for the least shit option? You'll be voting for the people who helped create this to be part of a new government FFS.
@Heccles94 As a collective western countries have sent many times that amount in aid and charity to all the poorest parts of the planet and they're still hungry. Something tells me money isn't the problem.
