The parent ignored this warning and continued to shout abusive at my daughter! Having a child who suffers with anxiety being shouted at by a parent, having the courage to ask for help but being let down is absolutely appalling! Not too sure on your #safeguarding policy @the_LTA

I’ve just had a very upset daughter on the phone, during a regional LTA accredited event my daughter was verbally assaulted by her opponents parent! After “correctly” calling the ref over and explaining the situation, the referee asked the parent to “quieten down”
