@fvneralmoonx@purenoiserecs standard pallet in order to print a sleeve that wide, and often times shit gets sent to the printer without discussion of wether or not they have the tech to do it and too tight a deadline to meet the order to get said tech. this is absolutely the labels fault.
@fvneralmoonx@purenoiserecs labels and media folks designing merch for drops like this often dont consider their printers limitations when it comes to the size of their prints and placements. a sleeve print of this size can absolutely be done, ive done it many times, but it requires a larger than (1/2)
embarrassingly, im an ex folk punk of like basically 8 years or something. i grew up watching addicts and ex addicts make ugly music to ugly people and it felt real. that thing that i had as a kid died well before i tried making folk punk myself and i spent a great deal (1/2)
got this zine from a kid tabling outside the venue at a Rent Strike show. saw him 20 minutes later dripping wet, asked him what happened, and he went โsomeone yelled at me over that zine and poured their pepsi bottle out on meโ
anyways i finally read it and they were right
fully rejecting me as i began to more seriously engage with hardcore and skinhead culture via my work and i found myself ostracized from a culture that was a mere shadow of what i once knew. fuck these stupid tenderqueer kids and their rabid bubble society. (3/4)
@Apayauq1 the comic is a depiction of a pretty real and raw experience, though not a universal one. the mural basically reads as a transphobic caricature. totally different pieces. bad take.
