Hudson Riverkeeper in college and my dad was on the board so I met RFK Jr a bunch of times and sat in on his law clinic. He was a highly effective & respected litigator who did SO much to clean up the river. (He was known to have affairs tho.) Now I just SMH.
Access and trust: These are two of the primary tools for child molesters. They’re tools that are in abundant supply in churches, particularly for pastors, ministers & leaders.
In the latest case of SBC clergy sex abuse, we see the devastation wrought by these tools. 1/2
Never discount the impact that sibling abuse has. It’s important to note that quite often an abusive sibling has abusive parents backing them to make sure the scapegoat always feels like the problem.
