The #NHS is failing it’s workforce over and over again. Too much red tape, no forward thinking in terms of recruitment and retention. Too much authority for a handful of people making life impossible for others.
It’s getting incredibly hard not to walk away from the job I love. Lack of support from management, lack of understand things at a shop floor level. Incredibly terrible payroll and IT services, and just all the general hoops you have to jump through day to day. Tired and sad.
What are NHSE doing?!
They’ve unilaterally imposed GPs undertake additional routine work 9-5 on Saturdays.
GP workforce in England is already in crisis
3 GPs are leaving the profession EVERY DAY
There isn’t the staff to cover Monday-Friday!
How much more can 1ry care take 😞
@CMO_England please consider changing the hospital visitors policy for those patients in MT/CVA/TBI beds. It’s severely impacting their mood, ability to rehab and therefore LOS
@FRSAMatthew If people can’t have visitors - mood is low- mods is low so they don’t take part in rehab - length of Stay increases - outcomes are not as they should be. These people report they feel like prisoners
@FRSAMatthew Please can you review the ‘no hospital visitors’ policy this is having a significant -ve effect on all those patients undergoing MT/ CVAs/head injuries who tend to have long hospital stays. Ask visitors to do a supervised test, one named visitor - anything. It needs to change.
Just to be clear, it would be nonsensical for @AllegraCOP26 to have resigned if the Downing Street party had never happened, and she wasn't conspicuously making light of it. So she has just blown up the prime minister's "I've been assured the party never happened"
@Sue__Davies @BNUSchoolofNMAH @BucksSU_UXB@buckssu Can’t believe stuff like this still happens. When I was a student once, they wanted us to eat elsewhere but come back to wash their cups. I refused.
Horrible way to segregate people
How about retaining the staff we have? We’ve got a recruitment and retention crisis due to your cuts which have left workers in poverty, and trying to deliver care in increasingly dangerous and pressured conditions.
Dear hospitals,
Stop sending emails to remind clinicians to 'avoid unnecessary admissions' and 'prioritise safe discharges'. What do you think we do all day? It's offensive. It's unhelpful. It's gaslighting.
Staff are not the problem, nor the solution.
We are beyond capacity.
Tory MPs rushed back from a Conservative Winter Ball fundraiser charging £35,000 for dinner with Sunak and £22,000 karaoke with Truss to vote for poorer homeowners to sell their homes for social care after paying tax rises.
Welcome to Boris Johnson’s undercutting Britain.
During last night’s 14.5hr shift, we saw ONE patient.
That’s not because there’s no demand, but because we were stuck at hospital for the entire duration, waiting for bed space.
Meanwhile, people are dying waiting for ambulances. What part of this is sustainable @sajidjavid ?
Also, don’t you have declare other jobs to your primary employer? We do in the NHS.
So shouldn’t we know, MP’s second jobs. They supposedly work for us after all 😏
