At the 8th annual Senior Games, held yesterday at Goshen HS, the Section 9 Soccer Coaches Assoc. also recognized 2 MHAL Coaches of the Year with the Manny Blanco Award: from Spackenkill (girls) Mark Moren and Mike Riley from Saugerties (boys).

A fun back & forth match goes 5-3 to the “West” (white) squad.

At halftime of the Boys Large school game, the Anthony Martelli Service Awards for both large school BOYS & GIRLS was awarded.
For the boys, Goshen’s Michael Lombardi was the recipient.
And, for the girls, Goshen’s Riley Horn.

The Anthony Martelli Service Award for the Small school BOYS went to Luke Kotsides from Rondout Valley.
The Manny Blanco MHAL Boys Coach of the Year award went to Rondout Valley’s Max Mead.

At halftime of our 1st match, the Section 9 Soccer Coaches awarded the Anthony Martelli Service Award to Maria Gonzalez from Mount Academy.
Additionally, the award for the MHAL Coach of the Year for Girls was presented to James Wiley from Pine Plains.

The Section 9 Soccer Coaches Association will be hosting the 7th Annual Exceptional Seniors Games tomorrow at James I O’Neil HS.
Our first game, “Small schools” (Class B/C/D) GIRLS kicks off at 9:30 am.
