I am getting a new phone today. This means my Signal key will change. I am posting here, Twitter, and Facebook to let people know this is legitimate. :) Once I do the switch I will post more details probably. :)

@J3ssa We did not go this year, but we are going to Jollywood nights in November. :)

So according to the @battlenet website, I own Diablo II Resurrected (correct), but the desktop app is asking me to purchase it again. The support site has no way I can find to actually fix this. Just a chat that is automated and presents irrelevant answers.

@wessorh I am a sponsor to a number of groups. That doesn't solve the issue since almost all of the "pitch instead of teach" presentations are by sponsors. Local groups struggle to get speakers, we need to help them.

I have been discussing speaking slots at local org meetings such as OWASP, ISSA, ISACA, and the like. As far as I know, all of these orgs have policies that forbid sales pitches as presentations. Yet I constantly see them.

@johullrich Absolutely a good point. Way to many people think they have nothing interesting to say or believe they can't.

I also would help people with this. Thanks

How do we help these local orgs get real useful presentations? I currently go to as many as I can and offer to speak. But that doesn't scale, and many think I am going to pitch my company. (Ignoring my public history)

@magen_wu patina. Instead of the usual dark, it actually turns a bright fluorescent green. (No idea why). After 10-12 washes, the blood you drink from it tastes like root beer with mud in it.

So basically, once or twice in a blood drinking emergency, no issue. But hand washing is better.

[Kevin "Johnson" Tackett @secureideas]

@magen_wu I am sorry but as an older person, with obviously more dishwashing experience, I have to warn you that this is incorrect. While yes the skulls can be washed a few times in the dishwasher, they will degrade over time. After about 5-6 washes, the skull will have gotten a weird

As hot AI lab breakout summer comes to a close, I wrote up a couple of thoughts on the OpenAI presentation at Black Hat USA, felony humble-bragging, and low-hanging fruit. https://t.co/ECjypMZmth

@cantcomputer I had to buy a machine for testing recently and was surprised that they wanted me to install the apple store app on my android device. They said they had no other option.

I literally just paid for a subscription where my 16 digit CC# was masked while I entered it, but the CVV was not. The system also blocked ctrl-v so password managers are blocked.

Make it make sense please. 3/3

User awareness focuses on the wrong thing. We don't need to make users more aware; we need developers and businesses to pay attention to how they increase risk and implement useless controls. Our systems are designed to make it harder to be aware. 1/3

We have built systems specifically to require clicking a link in an email and then complain when users click links. 2/3

@esrtweet I assume you have read about the uncanny valley effect. Based on what you wrote, I think that is what you are describing. It is a fascinating read if you haven't.
