There’s a big difference between eventually voting with President Trump and actually standing with him when your vote matters.

Every Republican in South Carolina’s congressional delegation has a strong conservative voting record. But when President Trump’s biggest priorities were on the line, five members consistently supported his position without forcing him to spend political capital getting their votes.

Ralph Norman repeatedly did the opposite.

When President Trump endorsed Mike Johnson for Speaker, Ralph initially voted against him. President Trump had to personally intervene to get Ralph’s vote.

When President Trump demanded Republicans unite behind the One Big Beautiful Bill, Ralph voted against advancing it in the Budget Committee—and helped cause President Trump’s signature legislation to fail.

When the bill came back for final passage, Ralph again resisted before ultimately voting yes.

That’s the distinction: Ralph eventually votes with President Trump. The rest of us don’t make President Trump fight us first.

Supporting President Trump shouldn’t require a phone call, a negotiation, or leverage every time your vote matters.
