@ZachWLambert @dpgushee You drop some serious honey, and it attracts all the bugs. Your patience is incredible. I love what you do; keep doing it. And bottle that patience of yours and sell it. And then redistribute the wealth. 😁✌️
@albertmohler This dumb rear end should retire and stop spitting refuse on the world. For the vast majority of Christian history, the Eucharist was the centre of Christian worship. It’s unfortunate that good ol’ Al wants to remove Jesus from the centre of worship. 🤦♂️
@caseytaylor@JoashPThomas Well, a lot changed for you. 😂. Also, the effects of slavery and Jim Crow are still beneficial to folks that look like you and me and still detrimental to BIPOC folks. If we judge the fruit, the 2GA was probably good for white folks. Period.
@JoashPThomas For those who want to push Jesus is the husband of the Church who is the bride, are we going to open that metaphor up to the inherent homoeroticism therein? I’m a man; I’m part of the Church. Is Jesus my husband? Do we have a category for this in biblical manhood?
@dscottplays@newvangelicals And this is why it’s probably not going to be a revival. Until the behind the scenes stuff starts to change in just ways that allow for equality and full inclusion in the body of Christ. Changing the surface is just white washing the tomb, IMO.
@newvangelicals Queer and celibate? Queer and out and fully affirmed in their queerness, allowed to be ordained and married? What are you highlighting here? Your tweet is hyper ambiguous
@momversesworld@disntr It is helpful to know how Bible editors, utilize hermeneutics, ancient Hebrew, and Koine Greek, when putting Bibles together. Different translation teams have different agendas based on theological perspectives.
@momversesworld@disntr The term Queer includes a variety of people groups. Also, the term homosexual didn’t make it into the English translations until the 1940s. “Arsenokotai” is in 2 verses in the Bible. It wasn’t translated as homosexual until 1946. Or were you not aware?
It is quite satisfying to be blocked by white homophobic conservative evangelicals when making a logical argument for the lack of condemnation of homosexuality in the Christian Scriptures. #WINNING.
@momversesworld@disntr No, it isn’t. According to the Bible, rape for use of power is a sin. Pederasty is also a sin. But homosexuality isn’t a sin. But I’m sure you’re not open to an interpretation other than your own. 😉
@Janet_Mefferd I attended Asbury seminary. The donors of these schools are well aware of how their money is spent. Institutional change requires money. We can hope, but it’s highly unlikely. Powerful white people don’t give up power.
