I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of the six Naga men whose mortal remains were recovered today. I strongly condemn this heinous act and extend my heartfelt condolences to their families, friends, and loved ones. No family should have to endure such pain and anguish.
Further, under the guidance of @PetroleumMin, the Govts. of Nagaland & Assam have held fruitful discussions and made significant progress towards resuming exploration & production activities in the Disputed Area Belt (DAB) along the Nagaland–Assam border.
Warm birthday greetings to Shri @nitin_gadkari Ji,
the Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways. Wishing you good health, happiness, and a long life of dedicated service to the nation.
Nagaland faces a serious fiscal challenge following the discontinuation of RDG. Its withdrawal has created an immediate fiscal gap. RDG, provided by successive Finance Commissions was vital in meeting basic expenditure needs and ensuring the delivery of essential public services.
We seek support for agri-connectivity, & the promotion of high-value sectors such as coffee & agarwood. Coffee has emerged as a flagship product of Nagaland, while agarwood offers potential for sustainable livelihoods, ecological conservation, & export growth.
I reaffirm Nagaland's commitment to working closely with the GoI, @NEC_GoI, @MDoNER_India, & our sister States in advancing a prosperous, peaceful, & integrated NE. Together, we can unlock the region's immense potential & contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
Power infra. remains critical to Nagaland’s growth, with investments in sports infra. & youth dev. to unlock youth potential. We're pursuing early resumption of petroleum & natural gas exploration through a State-specific policy in line with our special constitutional provisions.
Congratulations to Shri @DKShivakumar Ji on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Karnataka. I extend my best wishes to him and his Council of Ministers for a successful tenure.
Nagaland continues to pursue the establishment of an IIT, a Greenfield AIIMS, & the strengthening of NIMSR, Kohima. Coupled with investments in a Greenfield incubation city, these initiatives will drive innovation, create employment opportunities, & accelerate development.
A pleasure to participate in the 73rd Plenary Session of the @NEC_GoI in the presence of Union Home Minister Shri @AmitShah Ji, Union Minister for DoNER Shri @JM_Scindia Ji, MoS for DoNER Shri @DrSukantaBJP Ji, and the Governors and Chief Ministers of the North Eastern States.
The MoU is an extension of the existing scheme for rural water supply with FHTC by Dec. 2028. It reflects our shared commitment to ensuring sustainable, functional, & community-owned drinking water systems, while advancing the goal of #HarGharJal by 2028.
A key milestone in strengthening drinking water services in Nagaland: the State Govt. & @DoWRRDGR_MoJS signed & exchanged the MoU for the implementation of @jaljeevan_ 2.0 in the State, in the presence of Union Min. Shri @CRPaatil Ji, MoS @VSOMANNA_BJP Ji, & Shri @jacob_zhimomi.
The government has taken down our iconic website - https://t.co/ELmb4ZlEed.
10 Lakh cockroaches had signed up on our website has members.
6 Lakh cockroaches had signed a petition to demand the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.
Why is the government so scared of cockroaches? But this dictatorial behaviour is opening the eyes of India's youth. Our only crime is we were demanding a better future for ourselves.
But you can't get rid of us that easily. We’re working on a new home right now. Cockroaches never die. 🪳
Had the pleasure of meeting former Union Minister @drharshvardhan
Ji and his wife, who called on me today. Wishing them both good health and the very best.
On #InternationalDayForBiologicalDiversity, we celebrate Nagaland’s rich biodiversity & ecosystems that sustain our people, culture, & way of life. As part of one of the world’s biodiversity hotspots, we must strengthen efforts to protect our natural heritage. #KnowYourGovernment
Everyone say it louder.. this hashtag should trend in india and worldwide #education_minister_must_resign
Education Minister of India must resign! Students are committing suicide because of NEET paper leak.
Cockroaches, take this forward. We need to fix the accountability.
Many journalists have been asking me whether this GenZ movement will turn into what happened in Nepal or Bangladesh.
Let me make this absolutely clear. Do not insult or underestimate the GenZ of India by making such comparisons. The youth of this country are far more mature, aware, and politically conscious than many give them credit for. They understand their constitutional rights and will express their dissent through peaceful and democratic means.
And please, do not demean them. Many of these young people are far more educated and informed than those currently running the government.
