God didn’t go against Asa’s will in seeking man prior to seeking Him first, and even now, His heart is for us to seek His approval in all things.
Many of us are still seeking the approval of man, and God isn’t going to go against our will. Seek first, God.
Don’t behold the men you follow more, deeper, or higher than you do the Lord.
He’s the greatest teacher and so deserving of our identity being found in Him alone. Not in the latest preacher..
Jesus is the One we must behold. #discipline
To know the Lord, is to Fear the Lord.
To lose sight of the fear of Him, is to lose Him.
There’s a Holy fear, and an unholy fear.
Reverence The lord. Tremble at His word.
Both perspectives are biblically His will.
He loves you.
Be wise. Speak holy, think holy and do not entertain words of this world.
Speak what you adhered and learned of the Father, alone. So from out of that place, the only words you speak, you will be justified for, and not condemned. Matthew 12:36-37
Do not make light the words you use. It’s just “a word”. That word will be the word you will be justified or condemned by.
Jesus said, speak only those things that minister grace and edification to the hearers. It’s not funny to mock curse words. They’re a form of bondage.
@rankheresy Kathy, in your bio it says you’re a sinner saved by grace. You’re not a sinner, saved by grace.
You’re saved by grace, and was a sinner.
Christ redeemed us from our old man, and now we live unto Him who died for us.
Walk out your redemption! Abide in Him. Amén.
“not as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.”
Ephesians 6:6-8.
@DavidLLanford1@shane_pruitt78 To be biblically perfect, is to be pure at heart. (Matthew 5:48) Judge within your own heart, if you’re pure at heart. If not, you’re not forgiven unfortunately. If so, praise God you were lead to repentance.
@shane_pruitt78 Shane,
Do you believe in holiness, in the sense that it’s a requirement from Christ Jesus toward mankind, to do in order to inherit the kingdom of God?
I understand grace, and faith, but I’m referring to a lifestyle through Christ, to abide and remain pure.
(Heb. 5:9, 12:14)
If the first person you seek is man, and not the Lord himself, please check your heart and who’s voice you’re truthfully following and holding value to, more than the Lord, Himself.
Godly Counsel is biblical.
However, it must first begin and end, with God.
It’s not only telling mankind where they’re headed, but telling them who came and what He came to do.
It’s not only telling them who they are, but ministering to them who He is.
It’s not reminding them of what they’ve done, but what He died to empower them to do.
