This article made me think of all the drunken trees we saw this summer in Fairbanks, AK and Kenai NWR (📸below). The tilted trees make permafrost thaw so visually obvious!

Such a cool project here in East TN- Dr. Andreas Fath swam for science along the Tennessee river and during his 34 (!!) day swim, his team sampled water quality finding microplastics in extremely high concentrations. #plasticpollution
