welp
Breach went #1.
why did this make me so happy i teared up a little? NOT A LOT. a little.
10 years ago i didn’t even really understand what a #1 album meant, but then ever since blurryface i kind of really wanted it again, but never got it.
then i stopped wanting it and just wrote an album for you. for us.
and that’s when you guys showed up bigger than ever. you did this. buying vinyl, or a box set, or going to listening events, or streaming and telling other people. thank you so much.
this is the most proud i’ve ever been to be a part of this band.
if you only knew how many industry people are confused right now.
wait, what? yeah. we did.
so if we are doing metaphors from tylers perspective - blurryface/nico/bishops are his insecurities, doubts etc.
so could we say that clancy is a metaphor for a fight inside of him, a desire to get better?

yo chat, clancy really was a goner huh?
we actually got the ending in blurryface already - in not today he pulled the curtains down (made himself a robe), and said that there's no choice. the next song is goner, so it actually fits the ending perfectly.

HOW IS DRAG PATH NOT ON BREACH THIS SONG WOULD BE AN INCREDIBLE ALBUM CLOSER, IT'S GIVING LEAVE THE CITY VIBES, I LOVE IT SO MUCH
#breach#twentyonepilots
THE ENDING IS SO SATISFYING I LOVE IT! I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS SINCE TRENCH, THAT CLANCY WILL EVENTUALLY BECOME A BISHOP
this ending is perfect for the storyline, it's a cycle, and he is not breaking it. (and the red robes kinda look menacing in a cool way on him lol)

@Morphus_17 yeah i mean people think they are the main character and that "the boys" (two grown men btw) will be angry at them.
no, they will have the shit streamed out of their music anyway and bag a big amount of money from the merch, tour, streams and that's it. it's not that deep.

clancy is probably becoming a fucking bishop in the music video, considering the second part of city walls, followed by the scream and he is out of it again, repeating the cycle which explains hds intro in the ending.
its done perfectly
i had high hopes and it really is a great album (very sad lyrically though), probably their 2nd best for me.
but after listening to it, i realized trench will probably forever stay my favorite album by them.
but still, they have done it again.
