Tragically Goldie Hawn couldn’t see at the Oscars because of cataracts. Not sure if she was scared to have the surgery or if her eye doctor just didn’t pick it up.

Of course not. All depends on why someone goes into medicine. Those that are solely in it for the money get weeded out early because we all know there are easier ways to make a living.
At the end of the day, even given the increasing hurdles we have to jump over to care for patients, there’s still no better personal satisfaction

Agreed. It’s quite tragic the push towards socialized medicine.
We are simply capital that hospitals and private equity can use and dispose of as needed.
It’s like slow boiling a frog, the younger docs take less pay and are told what to do by bean counters and non practitioners.
What other profession do you know of that is systematically cut year after year…
