@JoshVitale I like it when the corruption is laid bare, and we have to decide what to do with it. They are still going to make decisions based on whatever they want. Having only one ranking leaves them with little reason for them to give explanations.
@ClayTravis Just end conference championship games as is. Turn them into the first round games of the 16-team playoff. The conferences keep the money from the games. It becomes the Dr. Pepper First Round presented by the SEC.
@slmandel Here’s the next step:

@tjmcaulay So, do you have a suggestion regarding guarding against possible corruption (even if only perceived) by officials? It sounds like you would advocate for just trusting them and the system that has been in place for decades. Is that enough?
@tjmcaulay I’m not sure that the reporting is even accurate. However, what would you suggest to improve poor officiating that can cost teams millions of dollars & coaches their jobs? Before brushing that question aside, remember that Auburn has experienced two games w/ significant failures.
@RyanHampton The weakest link in a weak officiating crew was the line judge on UGA’s sideline. Had clearest view. Didn’t signal TD. Didn’t throw the bag for a fumble. Didn’t throw a flag for encroachment. Just took the down off.
Later in the game, of course, he is central to the TO debacle.
@sundoulos_j@mattbegreatyt The broader video from last night shows the safety clapping several times while the offensive players were in the relaxed stance to get attention for a new call from the sidelines. Wasn’t snap simulation. May still be illegal, but it wasn’t inducing a false start.
