to #collegesettlement nature camp to explore nature & write out! I used tips by author @KateMessner
& had the Ss close their eyes for 1 min & write about what they felt & heard. A hush fell over our crew! We heard 🐤quack &🐦chirp @writingproject
I spent a glorious day outdoors today with my students doing #writeout. Thank you @writingproject & @KateMessner for the great ideas and prompts! I even got one class off campus to get a view of our beautiful Mississippi River.

3rd grade held our Break Bread & Bond Cultural Dinner & WriteOut event with over 100 families in attendance! My heart felt like a thousand rainbows blooming just watching families engaging in writing poems! @steveglaize@writingproject@HH_Schools @WriteOutConnect

Where I live rain is a significant part of our fall. In Edward Thomas’ rain poem using the repetition of the word rain to make us feel we are hearing raindrops. Could you today repeat something you see in nature to create repetition in your writing?

3rd grade students revisited elements of poetry. I noticed
their endurance to write increases daily during WriteOut. Students at all abilities can access writing activities during WriteOut. All students can write, share, and affirm the beauty of other's writing
