@LisaKDeam I don't think many people mean it in a prosperity Gospel sort of way. I do think it has a similarly negative effect on those who seem stuck in worldly (financial, health) struggles.

@LisaKDeam Absolutely yes! We should, of course, give God thanks in all things even when it is difficult. And so I think we that God for our blessings and difficulties. But, assuming "good things" are a blessing from God is a bit arrogant.

@bradchristian @gavin_adams are genetically wired to be thin. People can have food allergies and sensitivities without knowing it that cause chronic health issues and inflammation. Also not having enough money can lead to appearing less healthy. It is entitled and priviledged.

@MikeHardin63 @Fair_and_Biased Honestly that makes no sense and I am not even really a complementation anymore. Everyone is different and equal in value and position before God. Also the church should treat everyone as equal in value. Doesn’t change the fact that people are different.
