@ChrisLAS @dominucco Ok no problem, thanks for letting me know. I was going to give YouTube a chance on the podcast front but think I'm going to go get me a dedicated app.

[Alex Lewis @seekingbinary]

@dominucco / @ChrisLAS Hopefully this isn't just me, and sorry if you're already aware of this, but it's looks like the youtube music podcast feed for coder is behind; 563 is the latest episode on there.

New release! JAXB-2 Maven Plugin version 3.1.0 at org.codehaus.mojo:jaxb2-maven-plugin https://t.co/I46ovfGy6V

@gunnarmorling I've done that a few times around on the same project. Something keeps happening that means I get distracted from it for long enough that I feel like I'm starting again. My first task getting it working again and updated; and then another distraction kicks in 😞

@elonmusk Make verification a free, self-service and automated process using a trusted 3rd party like banks (and other options) to verify the identity. Prior to your arrival, many that should have been verified, and wanted to be, weren't.

@aalmiray @kordamp Well... That's if Twitter is still running at that time.

[Alex Lewis @seekingbinary]

@aalmiray @kordamp There are definitely going to be rants as it's Gradle so, you may as well tweet them for us all to enjoy and equally identify with your pain.

I'm opening Twitter due to morbid fascination. I keep expecting it not to load. My TL has changed dramatically to whatever Elon has done recently; usually bad from a technical, professionalism and/or business standpoint. Crazy it's happening to such a popular platform.

Great article by @jeffjarvis about @joinmastodon, the fediverse, and the future of social. https://t.co/9155rseyzg

@Marcus_Noble_ @fluxcd @PulumiCorp That's fair. I tried ArgoCD ages ago and I found it had things I didn't want/need ("apps", the web UI, etc.). Things might have changed since. I'll try to give the pulumi/flux provider a go soon and I'll let you know if I get something working.

[Alex Lewis @seekingbinary]

@Marcus_Noble_ @fluxcd @PulumiCorp That's what it thought as well. The furthest I got was noticing that the terraform provider just has install and sync, and as the pulumi one just bridges to terraform, I still had hope that there was a way to install flux. Not tried properly yet so might be a dead end.

[Alex Lewis @seekingbinary]

@Marcus_Noble_ @fluxcd @PulumiCorp It's this one: https://t.co/DFowIgm6aB

[Alex Lewis @seekingbinary]

@Marcus_Noble_ @fluxcd @PulumiCorp They recently included a flux provider, I'll get the link in a mo. I've not tried it yet. It, like a number of other pulumi providers, is a bridge provider to the flux terraform plugin.

@rotnroll666 @starbuxman I agree though, not a great UX.

[Alex Lewis @seekingbinary]

@rotnroll666 @starbuxman Or you can search for a user on that particular server by using @<user_search@>

[Alex Lewis @seekingbinary]

@planetaryinc I like the decentralised model of @planetaryinc, or specifically that I'm a user and I have an identity and with that identity I can join rooms/pubs without being tied to any specific one (if I've understood correctly?). The Mastodon model still feels a bit strange to me.

[Alex Lewis @seekingbinary]

Anyone else going to have a look at @planetaryinc? Mastodon is getting the attention right now but as the "next" social network takes a lot of personal investment if you're really going to move away from Twitter, I wonder whether people are going to shop around for a bit 🤷‍♂️
