#SchoolSafetyGP | “Following the identification of 245 high-risk schools through the Department’s environmental scan, targeted interventions were introduced to support schools facing elevated safety risks… private security services were initially deployed to 75 schools and later expanded to 121 schools identified as requiring additional protection and support,” said MEC @LebogangMaile1.
MEC Maile outlined that these interventions were introduced after a provincial environmental scan identified 245 high-risk schools requiring targeted support, leading to the deployment and later expansion of private security to strengthen protection in affected schools.
He added that this forms part of broader efforts to respond to identified risks and improve safety conditions in schools across Gauteng.

[WATCH] Gauteng MEC for Education, Sport, Arts, Culture & Recreation, @LebogangMaile1 , says municipalities must engage and consult the Gauteng Department of Education first before taking any decision to disconnect water or electricity services at schools.
Speaking during the #ItTakesAVillageToRaiseAChild community engagement programme in Sebokeng and Bophelong, MEC Maile stressed that disruptions to essential services should never undermine teaching and learning.

Kaizer Chiefs must have at least 95% if not all of new players in preseason camp with everyone. Having 4 of 7 new players only joining preseason two weeks before the season starts would represent poor planning and inability to close deals off once again.
If we take Mabasa, we strengthen our CF position and have 4 players there. And if Mayo stays, then he can be moved to his favoured position as a right sided split striker and compete with Lilepo for a starting berth.
Those are my submissions with respect chair.
Secondly, the PSL is not a league blessed with clinical South African center forwards. Rainers is the only one that comes to mind as I type this. I submit that Mabasa can give us something.
I would sign Mabasa for Chiefs in a heartbeat.
Last season, our strikers (center forwards) scored no more than 15 goals between them, with Silva contributing 8 of those. We are carrying dead wood in Morris and Ashley.

Just for the record, I absolutely have no issues with Kaizer Chiefs doing all its marketing activities to appease the sponsors and even attract more. My issue is the sequencing of events. Marketing announcements should be coming after football announcements.
📚 Following a tour of the library at Tjhaba Tsatsi Primary School in Sebokeng as part of the #ItTakesAVillageToRaiseAChild unannounced school visits, Gauteng MEC for Education, Sport, Arts, Culture & Recreation, @LebogangMaile1, praised the facility as an outstanding resource that is helping to nurture a culture of reading and learning among learners while supporting educators in the classroom.
