Our year ended with our Red Carpet Award Show! 🏆 I give kids a paper camera and they line up like the paparazzi to get autographs and take pictures of the celebrities. 📸 Kids love getting in a pose at the end! #schoolawards

The last week of school my students get the opportunity to "teach the teacher". I had athletes, chefs, engineers, scientists, and more. I love seeing their interests in this fun lesson!

For writing we did a poetry unit. We talked about visualizing while we read and I shared some @ShelSilverstein poems with them. He was my fav growing up and they loved him too! Each kid drew what they visualized and then we compared. Check out these awesome artists! #poety

Today we did a review game. I make up the problems ahead of time without checking the answers. As we did these kids started giggling before I checked it. I didn't realize why, the same digit answers. I randomly did 3 in a row too! Their giggles made my day! 😄

I love that @Seesaw allows for kids to share their understanding in their own way. My kids select a skill from their math scale and then prove how they know it. With folders it can organize all my class' ideas into one area. #scales #showwhatyouknow

@MakeTech_Pretty @Seesaw I actually didn't make an activity. I just told kids a math problem and they got to explain it in a video or with mic their own way. Then they selected the skill from the unit we worked on. I made folders for each skill and they picked it. I did it for measurement too!

I'm expecting my 4th child in June and we've made a family decision for me to take a year leave of absence from teaching. Today, students I taught a couple years ago surprised me with these notes. I'm going to be a wreck in May. 😢#relationshipsmatter
