The 92-year old judge who oversaw the case against Venezuela's kidnapped president, Nicolas Maduro, has died.
The NY Times describes the judge as a "deeply religious Orthodox Jew" who, as a lawyer in private practice, represented the investment bank, Cantor Fitzgerald.
At the time of the 9/11 attacks, the current U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick, was the President and CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald.
The Epstein files revealed that Lutnick lied about his relationship to Jeffrey Epstein. Although Cantor Fitzgerald lost 658 employees when the World Trade Center collapsed, Lutnick was not present in the firm's offices at the time of the attack.
