Sea turtle conservation isn't always boats and tropical waters.

Often, it's long nights on dark beaches, searching for nesting turtles and protecting vulnerable nests.

The green sea turtle is the 2nd largest sea turtle, reaching up to 500 lbs.

Adults are herbivores, grazing on seagrass and algae.
They’re also the only sea turtle that regularly comes ashore to bask in places like Hawaii and the Galápagos Islands.
