I cried today because I just want to experience a season of life where I'm not always recovering from something. It feels like there's always an ugly truth I'm having to confront, a belief I'm having to unlearn, more work to be done. It's exhausting and lonely. And yeah, I get that life isn't fair and that you have to just keep going. But i keep being resilient when what I'd really like is relief.
Pay attention to this.
Maybe it's time to stop pretending you're over the breakup. You tell everyone you're good. You post like you're good. You laugh like you're good. But the second you're alone, your mind walks straight back to someone who already walked away. The relationship ended long before the breakup happened. The breakup was just the announcement. You've been carrying a ghost.
Replaying conversations, rereading messages, creating imaginary futures with somebody who's already become your past. And while you're doing that, life is moving without you. The person who left is sleeping, eating, laughing, Living. While you're still standing at a closed door waiting for it to open again. At some point, you have to accept it. Not because it doesn't hurt. Because your future deserves more attention then your history.
Bro people look down on drug addicts while they're addicted to their phone, food, a person and have a drinking problem. We're all dabbling in escapism, yours is just more socially acceptable
Te das cuenta al toque cuando alguien es romántico, porque es romántico también con los amigos. El romanticismo es una forma de vivir, de relacionarse con las cosas; no necesariamente se reduce a los vínculos sexoafectivos.
I’m not a fan of people who want to waltz in and out of your life whenever it’s convenient for them.
Any kind of relationship with me requires effort, and I stand by this: you will not treat me or my friendship like a revolving door.
right now, your only priority is getting your life back on track and becoming the best version of yourself. don’t stress about who stays, who leaves, who understands, or who switches up. this season is about finally doing what is best for you.
heal your mind, rebuild your discipline, protect your peace, get your money right, strengthen your body, and return to yourself. whoever is meant to walk with the new version of you will meet you there.
i regret to inform you that personal growth rarely comes from acquiring new knowledge and almost always from:
•getting humiliated
•showing up terrified and doing it anyway
•admitting you might be the problem
All you gotta do is talk to me. You ain’t gotta move weird, lie, disappear, or switch up. I be understanding more than people give me credit for. Just keep it real. I’d rather hear a hard truth than be left trying to figure out why your energy changed.
Nothing is more attractive to me than genuine effort. Someone who makes time to talk to me, wants to spend time with me, and naturally includes me in their everyday life means far more than grand gestures.
