I took the boys and teachers to the Italian Parliament building in Rome, which is equivalent to the National Assembly in Nigeria.
The boys asked why everyone was walking freely and why the police were being so nice to us.
I told them that what you see in Nigerian government offices is Third World behavior.
If you’re leading your people well, nobody will want to kill you.

Today is D-day.
Our boys are now at the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma for the Grand Finale of the International STEM Olympiad in Rome, Italy.
I’m optimistic about their victory.
Our star boy, Egejurum Onyedikachi, just came out of the International STEM Olympiad finale.
Listen to his experience.
We are rooting for him to win gold.
This guy has won the World Cup, he’s beaten France in an all-timer final. He’s won two Copa Americas in a continent where they play their games on 2x and kick the shit out of you.
Yet, Cape Verde is the number 1 team that has shaken him. I mean, shout to Cape Verde once again.
Our maths genius, Victor Onwubiko, just came out of the International STEM Olympiad finale.
Listen to his experience.
We are rooting for him to win gold.
Cape Verde’s first #FIFAWorldCup journey comes to an end. 🇨🇻💙
The Blue Sharks leave with a historic knockout-stage appearance and a debut that will forever be part of the Africa’s football stories. 📖
Cabo Verde made history by just qualifying for the World Cup. They leave having made a different kind of history entirely.
The Blue Sharks pushed Argentina, the reigning world champions, the team with Lionel Messi, to extra-time, losing 3-2 in one of the tournament's most remarkable performances. A nation of fewer than 600,000 people, making their World Cup debut, refused to be rolled over by one of the greatest footballing nations on earth. They were organised, disciplined, and absolutely fearless.
A lot of the credit belongs to Bubista, the former national captain who took charge in 2020 and spent six years quietly building something extraordinary. His team held Spain to a goalless draw on debut, tied Uruguay 2-2, and reached the knockout rounds.
Cabo Verde walk off the pitch with their heads as high as any team at this tournament. They showed the African continent, the football world, and every small nation watching that belief, teamwork and organisation can take you further than anyone ever expects.
Cabo Verde, we won’t forget this run.
Cabo Verde manager Bubista spoke about the level of pride he has for his team after an incredible run in this edition of the World Cup:
"Well, first of all, good evening.
First things first: I feel pride in my players and in what they did. They did it with dignity and courage.
And also a word to our opponent, Argentina.
I think they showed why they're world champions. I think I can say our team showed how willing they were to play this game, to play this match. I don't think any other team could have scored two goals against Argentina and then taken the match into extra time.
I think that shows the character of our team, how skilled our team was throughout most of the match.
We knew the quality of our opponent. It was going to be a tough match, as it truly proved to be against Argentina. But I think we did our best, and we did it with bravery.
And we never failed to stay true to our identity, which is why I'm so proud of what my players did throughout the match.
Obviously, at times during the match, you have to have courage and you have to be well-organized because of how skilled your opponent is.
But I think that being able to equalize against Argentina twice, after falling behind, shows how resilient our team is and how strong our character is as well."
Much to be proud about for Cabo Verde.
