@faithsports3@StrikeDebt I can apply for buyback for PSLF in June 2028, so I just want to get it over with. But it is going to be a huge financial burden
Many student debtors are being quoted a ten-fold monthly student debt payment.
From $50 a month to $500 a month.
From $35 a month to $300+ a month.
Trump's payment increase will crush working people and we need an opposition party to stand up and fight back now.
My student loan payment is now almost $2,000 /month. That payment costs more than one child in full-time daycare and my car payment combined. But sure, this seems sustainable for the average American.
Philadelphia,
Iβve decided my time coaching with the Eagles has come to an end.
When I arrived here in 2013, I did not know what I was signing up for. I quickly learned what this city demands. But more importantly, what it gives back.
The past 13 years have been the great privilege of my coaching career. I didnβt just work here, I became one of you.
Stout out
@megha_lilly What is your solution for those who are single moms? I disagree with this statement, but am genuinely curious what your thought process to this situation is
@AtomicGirlFTW@DanniBrener I get it, time is valuable & limited for everyone. I'm a single mom, so when I get super behind I'm late picking my daughter up from daycare. In an ideal world, we are given more time per appointment but that is a bigger issue with healthcare in the United States...
@AtomicGirlFTW@DanniBrener Neither me nor my medical assistant would have time to do this unfortunately. I see 22-25 pts/day & we are hustling all day )I barely have time to use the restroom). And the front desk staff is often so busy people are waiting in line to check in .
The irony is that if they actually wanted US kids to have Danish health outcomes, they'd be fighting for universal healthcare access and paid family leave, not fewer vaccines.
@Mae_Shake@DrPlantel The PUMP Act specifies that employees must allow "reasonable accommodations" for females who breast feed/pump, which was a step in the right direction! It is at the discretion of your employer what qualifies as "reasonable" which allows for a large spectrum of accommodations.
@TerryCarlsonII@DrPlantel I am glad she was able to do that! That unfortunately is not always possible for other women depending on their job/situation. Even with better accommodations, not every woman would be able to breast feed but a more supportive environment would be extremely helpful.
@JillFilipovic As someone who exclusively pumped when I went back to work... preach ππΌ
But of course, nothing about the United States is supportive of women/families having children.
