Excited to share that I started my new role as Research Associate in AI and Fair Work at the University of Glasgow. 🎉
Looking forward to contributing to research on how AI adoption shapes work, organisations, and productivity, and to collaborating with partners.

I am pleased to share that I have officially been awarded my PhD today‼️
My research focuses on digital governance of social media platforms, with a comparative perspective on the UK and India.
Grateful for the support along the way and looking forward to the next stage.
Seeing links between my recently submitted PhD and current political debates👇🏻
This is a👌🏻 example of a social media platform-government relation and the role of law; their independence acts as checks & balances.
This is why digital governance of social media platforms matters!
Yesterday, we filed an individual application before the Turkish Constitutional Court challenging an order from the Turkish Information and Communication Technologies Authority to block 126 accounts such as @metcihan, @artigercek, @haykobagdat within Türkiye. X is committed to protect its users' rights to free speech globally and we will continue to use all legal avenues available to defend our users’ speech.
@GlobalAffairs Given your ‘democratic’ stance on objecting to these requests and defending ‘free speech’, will you be transparent enough to share and update them -along with your compliance percentage- on your Transparency Centre (like you used to 3 years ago)?
Exciting news! I will be presenting a WIP paper on “Digital technology, social media and its politics” panel‼️
When: 10:45 am, 21 June
Where: Carron, Hilton (Glasgow)
Feel free to join!

Exciting news! I will be presenting a WIP paper on ‘Information (in)security on social media platforms at time of polycrisis’ now at the #CGSCConf @CGSCLeeds @EJIntSec @POLISatLeeds @MYBISA
Too clever by half, @ElonMusk just gave away the store. By making clear that he prioritizes @Twitter's presence in a country over the platform's free-speech principles, he has invited endless censorship demands. To gain compliance, governments will just threaten to expel Twitter.
‼️#Turkey: As criticism of govt's response to earthquake mounts, access to @Twitter has been restricted & some detained over social media posts.
People have been using Twitter as one of the main platforms to coordinate rescue efforts & call for help - sometimes under the rubble.
Happy to attend Digital Democracy & Citizenship Conference and take part at the PhD WIP event @CDCitizenship. Thanks @PetersChrisJ @SineNJust for organising this conference and @linnetelwin for responding my WIP paper!
Yesterday at ECER2021 and today presenting a work on #internetionalisation carried out with my colleague

Although the UK is not going to be effected by the new privacy policy of Whatsapp (according to spokesperson), it still has created anxiety and fear for many. But at the same time it has also created a subconscious dependency that we cannot deny. #WhatsappPrivacy
