@hollychok I can definitely see this becoming true, people are very fascinated by this technology and immersing themselves in new worlds. I went to the mall over the weekend and saw a new VR store/lounge opening.
@zoshi_87 Citizen journalism is frequently used by mass media. News programs will source videos taken by bystanders or use tweets and posts in their story. It can in some ways be seen as more reliable because average citizens are spreading the news instead of being filtered by networks.
@PriyaRa01626415 I already see this happening a lot, sometimes I forget my wallet and I don't really panic because my friend will pay for me and I can venmo her instantly. It is also so convenient because you don't have to carry around cash anymore and have the added bulk of a wallet.
@meredithbellRU You make a good point, twitter is a good platform to share thoughts and connect with people on a more personal level. If people like your opinions and what you stand for they can follow you and be a part of your community.
@hollychok@Iskra I feel like it is easy to put only certain facets of your life on social media to look like you are living a certain way. This makes users curious as to how people's lives can be so perfect, so when a public figure posts something like crying it makes them relatable.
@briannaDCIM I find it amazing that in the present time social media can be used as a way to start new conversations and create change, we are a long ways away from what the internet was initially created for.
@CassidyBrynCOMM I also love photography, I'm in the process of learning some techniques and am really excited about it. I love how one photo has the ability to express so much and I really love this photo you took!
@BartlingSam My fraternity is also a big part of my identity. It's nice to have a small community within Rutgers because it makes the school seem smaller and easier to navigate.
@monhernandeze Hi Monica! That's amazing, there is too much negativity in the world and it can really tend to intensify on the internet. It's nice to see someone so committed to spreading positivity!
@marin_bloise The writing center on College Avenue was a lifesaver to me freshman year! It helped me so much while I was struggling with papers for Expos.
@JulieTurk18 University websites definitely tend to be underused! Whenever I check out the Rutgers website I always find my answer to random questions that I would spend forever emailing people about.
@Jessica_3480@wpunj_edu Hi Jessica! I definitely agree, heading to the library for cram sessions has helped me thrive in my classes on multiple occasions.
@mm2446RU I think this concept will be on the exam too! It is interesting how everyone can be in a different stage of technology adoption despite their age or socioeconomic status
@Robert_Schenker I've always been particularly interested in VR. It's crazy to think that just putting on a pair of goggles could be such an immersive experience. I read an article about how they used VR to train for the Olympics and it gave athletes an edge to "practice" on the field.
@Samanth19528012 What an interesting topic! Artificial intelligence is already pretty prevalent in our daily lives, it is weird to think how much we rely on it. It will be interesting to see your take on it!
@cscivtec Driverless cars have always been the futuristic technology we see in old movies. I am excited to see which direction you take the topic, like how will it make people's lives easier and could the benefit of ease outweigh possible problems.
