On this National Day of Prayer, and always, it is my prayer that we will remember the Savior’s admonition to “watch and pray always” (3 Nephi 18:15). Be strong, be believing, and keep praying. Prayers are often heard and answered in the most unexpected hour.
Our Heavenly Father can see things we can’t see. While we see mortal problems and pain, He sees our immortal potential and progress. If we pray to know His will, He will guide and help us along the way.
When you are faced with temptation—even if the temptation comes when you are exhausted or feeling alone or misunderstood—imagine the courage you can muster as you choose to let God prevail in your life and as you plead with Him to strengthen you.
One of the great lessons I have learned about prayer is the power that comes in speaking our prayers aloud. It is one of the most meaningful ways that I have found to really connect with heaven and hear the Lord’s voice. #HearHim
My dear friends, can we hear the gentle call of our beloved Savior, who invites us to come and follow Him? I promise you that God will guide your steps as you seek to hear Him. Jesus Christ will go before you. He will cause all things to work together for your good.
Brothers and sisters, do not take for granted the personal friendships and associations you enjoy in your life. Savor them. God expects us to lean on each other and love one another.
Dear friends, please turn to the Master Healer. I testify He can restore us; He can make us whole. And through this process, we can become the person He wants us to become.
“I think it will be like everything else — we’ll look back on this and say, ‘The Lord knew what we needed, and He is always ahead of us,’” President @BallardMRussell said.

My message at #GeneralConference today was that even though this pandemic is not what we wanted or expected—God has prepared His children and His Church for this time. Our best days are ahead of us, not behind us. God has something unimaginable in mind for you and the Church.
How you deal with life’s trials is part of the development of your faith. Strength comes when you remember that you have a divine nature, an inheritance of infinite worth.
As a special witness of His holy name, I testify that Jesus is the divine Son of the living God. He will love you, lift you, and manifest Himself unto you if you will love Him and keep His commandments.
These photos show two of our grandsons: from when they were 5 and 3 and this year while serving for a few days in the same mission. The gospel of Jesus Christ edifies family connections—not only between cousins but also between all children of God.
