Another killing in Atlanta. From sleeping in a drive thru to death. We have seen too many white people fight police, run from police & never get shot, but black people end up dead. What is it that these police see when they see a Black person? It can’t be a fellow human being.
People waiting to vote in Milwaukee - in the middle of a pandemic. This is what Vos, Fitzgerald, the Supreme Courts have done. They have endangered the lives of people who simply want to vote. This is irresponsible. It is shameful. We have to do better for November election.
On this #WorldHealthDay, I want to thank all the healthcare workers on the frontlines who have been risking their lives for us. I hope you’ll join me in expressing gratitude to the healthcare workers in your life. Let's show them how appreciated they are!
“Shouldn’t there be a national order, a national lockdown (rather than what we have now)?” -@savannahguthrie
“In our country, there still is that issue of central government vs. the ability and the right of a state to make their own decision... Again, I agree with you.” -Fauci
President Trump today at the White House said to me: “Be nice. Don't be threatening.”
I’m not the first human being, woman, black person or journalist to be told that while doing a job.
My take: Be steady. Stay focused. Remember your purpose. And, always press forward.
Once again @realDonaldTrump personally attacks @Yamiche of @PBS before she can finish asking a question directly quoting what he said about ventilators on Sean Hannity. (He had challenged NY’s need) When she tries to follow up the White House cuts off her mic.
.@GovWhitmer tells @chucktodd there’s not enough ventilators in Michigan there’s not enough N95 masks ..when we are bidding against each other it’s creating a lot of frustration and concern @MeetThePress
The coronavirus is not Donald Trump's fault, but his inept response is.
He ignored the warnings for months, downplayed the threat it posed, and failed to take the action needed to combat the outbreak.
It's one of the greatest failures of presidential leadership in our history.
