Palestinian goalkeeper Saleem Al-Ashqar was killed by Israeli forces in Gaza.

The 32-year-old played for Khadamat Khan Younis and was reportedly shot in Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younis.

He had only been married for five months. His wife is expecting their first child.
