This morning we walked Juno Beach (Nan Red sector) 80 yrs to the day that the North Shore Regiment landed here. The emotions are overwhelming!

Visited Beny-Sur-Mer cemetery today where many North Shore Regiment heroes are buried. We honored them. We shed tears. Our debt is immense.

This morning we participated in a memorial to the North Shore Regiment in Carpiquet. The respect this community holds for our heroes is deep and endless.

The Dutch people honor their World War II liberators by lighting candles on Christmas Eve at all the war graves.

At the 🇨🇦 Canadian cemetery in Groesbeek, thanks to hundreds of volunteers, a candle has been lit at each of the 2619 graves, and will stay burning tomorrow.
