My husband captured my reaction the moment Taylor was about to come on last night and it’s truly the most real, overwhelming, magical feeling in the world. I hope all true fans get to experience this at least once. 🥲😭🫶✨ #TorontoTSTheErasTour@taylornation13@taylorswift13
9 years old and I remember hearing some other little girl play the song on the piano during a talent show. That's when I went home and told my mom to find a way for me to listen to the song. No YouTube or social media for a 9-year-old kid back then.
Oh, what a time!
20 years ago today, Taylor Swift made her debut in the music industry with ‘Tim McGraw’ the lead single from her self-titled debut album. #20YearsOfTaylorSwift
20 years ago, our Swiftie hearts changed forever. ✨ None of us knew what Taylor would become, but what a journey it’s been. Here’s to the memories, the music, and the next 20 years. 🩷🩵🤍❤️💙🤎🧡💜💛💚

taylor receiving the greatest honor of her career surrounded by the family who got her here and the partner who's going to be there for every future accolade makes my 2008 swiftie heart so so warm. it's all i've ever wanted for the girl who makes me feel so understood and seen
my good friend taylor is receiving the highest honor a songwriter can tonight and as a result i’ve spent the whole day thinking about how fucking happy i am for her and how she deserves everything she could ever want
I cant believe we get to exist in the same world as Taylor Swift. I’m just in awe to be able to witness her gift of storytelling and human connection everyday. Truly no one will ever come close to her legacy and we are blessed to be around to witness it.
& because there will always be a song for any moment in our lives, this is why, will never forget this moment. Beyond the records, tours, and awards, it was a reminder that she’s always been, & always will be a songwriter first. Love you forever. @taylorswift13. So proud. 💛✨😭
Watched the full 21-minute speech. Her talking about moving to Nashville with the family and when fans tell her, “I listened to your music as a kid, now I listen with my baby,” absolutely ruined me. There will never be anyone like her. So grateful to have grown up along side her.
I know it’s not the first time she’s had me thinking about it, but Taylor has and always will be the soundtrack to so many chapters of my life: high school, university, first jobs, heartbreaks, falling in love, getting married, and traveling the world.
Deeply deeply touched by the whole speech, but her talking about us at the end there? The way we can see ourselves reflected in the songs she writes, we can cope, and grieve, and experience extreme happiness through her words, nothing will ever beat that connection 🥹
💬| Taylor notes how special it’s been for her to see her music become immortalised globally in the spectacular AND mundane moments of our lives:
“Nothing makes me happier than when someone tells me that they used to listen to my music with their parent, and now, decades later, they listen to it with their own child. [crying] I’m good. Or that they listen to it with their best friend, or when a couple tells me that Love Story is their song, or somebody does a cute little dance to The Fate of Ophelia, or I hear people in different countries singing Opalite in their own accents, or someone tells me that the song Enchanted gets their baby to stop crying. It’s, I’m humbled by the ways that fans have immortalized my songs in their own individual ways, allowing them to be the underscore of some of their real life expeditions on this Earth, the magnificent moments, as important to me as the seemingly mundane.”
