@rjh9aer@gorski_lion@PSU_Dylan Oh muffin you don't have to resort to insults so quickly. I'm certain with your level of intelligence, you can come up with something better.. Everything will be ok...Take a deep breath, pause and reflect.
@LauraLoomer@NFL Sit down your lack of education is showing..News flash .. The United States (of) America.. of America. The of is rather important according to every map you've clearly never seen.
When governments play politics with trade, it’s farmers who pay the price.
Ottawa placed tariffs on Chinese EVs — and now China has hit back hard:
📉 100% tariffs on Canadian canola and peas.
Western Canada is being sacrificed for votes in Ontario.
We need open trade, not trade wars. We need fairness, not favouritism.

My top account manager is in town from Regina with her husband for the Jay's opening weekend. Her husband is a farmer who grows canola, lentils and Durham wheat on rotation.
We chatted over drinks yesterday about the challenges he's facing right now. I already knew about the 100% tarrif that China has placed on canola and it hurt him because he had planned on planting canola this year.
What I was surprised about was that his other two crops also have tarrifs on them. The US is the biggest purchaser of Durham wheat and it is obviously facing a 25% tariff.
The one I was surprised about was lentils. The biggest market for lentils is India and guess what? India has tariffs on Canadian lentils.
Farmers are the backbone of our country. Without them we become completely dependent on imported food. With all the talk of buying Canadian and becoming food independent, how can we be doing nothing to help our farmers and in the case of Chinese tariffs, our fisheries and pork producers?
Madness.
Thanks to Dan for sending this is in. This loud bang at 4:45am this morning came from the Refinery. Flames can be seen on site at the Refinery and fire crews are on scene.
We’re getting reports of a fire at the Regina Refinery site. Locals in the area reported the ground shaking following an explosion and loud sirens. Flames can be seen on the site. Fire crews are on the scene and the #46 is currently blocked at Fleet St. We will keep you updated.
