Austin Reaves is reportedly seeking a max contract worth up to 5 years, $239.25 million from the Lakers, and it’s uncertain whether he would be willing to take a hometown discount, per @BA_Turner

I like David but there is a pattern in his career. He never fights the top guy in his division. At super middleweight no Canelo. At light heavyweight no Bivol or Beterbiev. At cruiserweight no Jai Opetaia and Jai has called him out and David is already dismissing that fight. The narrative is that nobody wants to fight him but Jai has shown willingness and you heard David’s response. At some point it can’t be a coincidence that in every division he competes in he never fights the top guy. When do we start assigning accountability to him for the way his career is going? It can’t always be the other guy’s fault.
Rob Pelinka might have the most complicated resume in the NBA.😭
Pros:
2020 championship
Helped land LeBron
Traded for AD
Pulled off the Luka trade
Found Austin Reaves undrafted
Added useful pieces like Rui, Kennard and Smart
Cons:
Westbrook trade
Caruso walking
Zubac trade
Questionable depth
Constant roster churn
No consistent player development pipeline
Now he gets the Luka era, and this might be his biggest test yet.
Lakers fans, at this point how do we feel overall about Rob Pelinka?💀

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has a -35.6 net on-off rating in this year's playoffs.
That is the lowest mark of any qualified player still remaining in the postseason.
