@dem0npaws I have about 10+ commissions over the years that I have never posted because it was so obvious just a reskin of something that they did previously and nowhere near of what I asked for.
@pawbuttt I’m 33, people have had this opinion for as long as I’ve been in the fandom, circa 2009. I’m pretty sure some people had this opinion about the first ever furcon.
The worst cop you'll ever meet
Ain't the one out on his beat
He'll flash his badge
and rough some skin
But that's mostly the worst of him
The cop you really have to dread
Is the one patrolling inside your head
It's him whose gaze drives you insane
And leads one’s soul to ruin.
2/2 We need to assume that everyone is just trying their best. And that uncomfortable conversations are worthwhile. Conflict is the price of community. And if you believe you belong, you will pay it.
1/2 I understand why we do it
we’ve been hurt, and receipts feel like safety. But two things are true at once: your caution is valid, and it’s slowly replacing your community with a jail. And we all become cops recording and reporting on everyone. But that is not community.
Isolation
The kind most people never have to name
Invisible labor day after day
Nothing to show for it but criticism
Surrounded
by people who call you an inspiration
who can’t see the chain
the one that keep you from being free
Lonelines
that no one
can witness
on tadc discourse, i just want to say repressed inner masculine or feminine traits resulting in hostile and destructive personality is a valid and well grounded trope.
