You’re not training speed unless you’re sprinting at 100% effort.
If you don’t compete at 80% then why would you train at 80%?
Practice like you compete.
Train fast. Be fast.
Step 5: Down and back
Your arms should not stay locked at 90 degrees when you sprint. Focus on swinging your arms down and back with as much force as you can handle.
Step 4: Heel under
In order to maximize stride efficiency after you strike the ground you want to move both your knee and your hip at the same time - pull your heel under your butt.
