Aside from the interesting walking animations, I think this video helps showcase how, in my opinion, if Pokémon just did their "character flair" (?) animations more often in battle they would seem so much more alive!

I may change his name to Maple later as I'm not really grooving with "Ipe" right now 😅. Ideally though I'd like to get a female shiny Chikorita, so if I happen to phase on one going for Cyndaquil then I'll call her Maple instead!

I finally found a shiny Chikorita last night after 4 phases and only 641 SR's (1.9k encounters!) I was just getting my numbers up and was totally not expecting anything to shine! I am super happy this turned out to be a short phase too!

I was a bit downhearted after realising I would have to go for another Cyndaquil, but this has cheered me up a bit! Let's hope my next phase is a Cyndaquil so I can finally close out this project! 😩🤞

Acutus has been traded over to Diamond for the time being! Now time to go till I get a Chikorita...and, ironically, I also need another Cyndaquil...🫠

If it turns out you can't trade between HGSS and DPPT anymore that would actually help my mental health 😅.

So after 3,533 SR's I phased on a shiny Totodile! I predicted I would phase on one rather than get a Chikorita. Totodile is my boyfriend's favourite Pokémon so I was almost disowned 😂. I plan to use trading to have him on my party with Chikorita!

If only I had remembered before I transferred my 3 Cyndaquils up to Gen 5 and beyond. I would have really liked to have used No.4 (my latest Cyndaquil) on my HG party, but alas...

4 Cyndaquils (my 3 recent phases + my 2018 target) technically in a row is kinda crazy 😆.

This is also my first shiny on my new DSi XL! I swapped to it whilst my 3DS was charging. I think HGSS looks good on it!

Yet *another* shiny Cyndaquil in HGSS after 790 Resets (2,370 seen)! I was truly not prepared to have another quick phase, and especially not for it to be another Cyndaquil 😂🫠. I didn't know what to name him so he's called No.4! Onto phase 4 for Chikorita!

I don't mind if I have to go over-odds again on this next phase because it's been good to stretch my full-odds muscles. This hunt brings my average encounters for all 3 Cyndaquils to 4.7k, so technically I could still be in for another long-ish phase, but we'll see!

Another day, another full-odds Cyndaquil! This one popped up after 3,343 resets (over 10.3k encounters!). It was refreshing to have a longer hunt, and I'm actually glad I had to go over odds for him. Another addition to the Cyndaquil army/family!

Unlike the other Cyndaquils, I had no shiny tingle at all before this one appeared. I was honestly feeling Totodile more so it was a big surprise (hence his name!).
