@JamesMelville Why not? Anyone can do it. I enjoy good quality red meat, usually bought from my local butcher, about once a week, if that. Every other meal, I make from scratch using delicious veg., offal, dairy products, fish, poultry, pulses etc etc. I love my food and eat the best I can!

The perception is that they both have much more to lose than a single individual. While that may be true, it doesn't mean we should let down/ignore an unfairly treated woman.

@CHAIRRDRF Nice! Won't disclose my own age, although it's not far off yours... ;-) and I have to say am super comfortable with a collection of low-step-framed bikes ( Brompton and Moultons). Love cycling all my local journies, here in Bristol!

@jdpoc I've seen a lot of posts from independant UK farmers outlining how few will end up affected & many saying too that they'd be happy to pay inheritance tax, the same as many non-farmers. My anxiety is that loads of super rich avowed tax avoiders are cynically muddying the waters.

@London_W4 Wetherspoons is a huge national chain, that specifically does business on the basis of economies of scale. Independent more traditional pubs don't have that luxury and are often 'tied' to a landlord supplier. If your preferred local is one of these, then you have a tough choice.

Work's all done now and back to its former fresh tarmac glory. That section does have a tough job dealing with all the rain run-off from multiple surrounding slopes so hope all is structurally well with the drainage now!

We all comment online-it's the modern way! I try quite hard to avoid ad hominem posts as they don't advance anybody's arguments. But with Clarkson, I can't help but remind myself that he made a career out of being deliberately & gratuitously unpleasant - does that make him game?

@ruskin147 @elonmusk I agree! Spent the morning chatting to co-workers, who having lived in many cities between them, all described how the best places to live all had really good public transport (as well as cycling infrastructure, too)…
