Once Israel successfully frames South Africa as a xenophobic state where African migrants are routinely attacked, it will exploit that narrative by staging false‑flag incidents targeting Jews.

The intended script would be straightforward: “South Africa’s hostility toward fellow Africans has escalated into violence against Jews, who are being accused of genocide in Gaza.”

Israel presents itself as the protector of Jews worldwide and has demonstrated a willingness to act militarily or otherwise.

By emboldening xenophobic actors here, we inadvertently play into the hands of a powerful adversary.

The failure of government to clamp down on these vigilante groups poses a serious national security risk.

State security is passive and sleeping on the job. This is deeply disturbing.

Political tolerance that is driven by short‑term electoral calculations has allowed dangerous and unaccountable actors to operate with impunity.
