McDonald's Canada charges an extra 20¢ for orange juice with a kid's Hotcakes Happy Meal. Apparently pop is the included beverage.
Even better? The OJ surcharge varies from 0¢ to 20¢ depending on which London, ON location you visit.
Make it make sense. 🤦♂️
Nearly half of all Canadians live below the red line.
The red line marks roughly 46°N latitude, and about half of Canada’s population lives south of it.
Although Canada is the world’s second-largest country by land area, nearly 90% of its population lives within about 160 km (100 miles) of the U.S. border. The milder climate, longer growing season, and early development of transportation, agriculture, and industry made southern Canada the country’s main population center.
Southern Ontario and southern Quebec alone are home to well over half of all Canadians, while much of the north is covered by boreal forest, mountains, tundra, and permafrost, making large-scale settlement far more challenging.
The map also highlights a surprising geographic fact: cities such as Toronto, Windsor, Hamilton, London, Ottawa, Montreal, and much of southern Quebec are farther south than many people assume, sitting at roughly the same latitude as northern California, northern Italy, and southern France.

ASCII art nostalgia from my BBS days: I was never good at it, but I was always impressed by those who were (my brother included)
This is a really slick modern take on ASCII rendering:

Hey @SamsungCanada - long-time Samsung customer here (TVs, phones, wearables, audio).
My flagship QN75Q800T TV has developed optical audio dropouts under 5 years. Troubleshooting points to the TV’s optical output degrading.
Disappointed a premium set didn’t last longer.
I’m okay with the salt shortage. More sand, less salt is a gift to my truck and the environment. Full respect to the Goderich salt mine workers - but I hope #LdnOnt keeps this approach even when supply rebounds.
