REMEMBER THE WOMAN WHO BROKE DOWN IN TEARS AT THE COURT PREMISES OVER HER DISPATCH RIDER HUSBAND'S CASE, AND THE LAWYER WHO DECIDED TO TAKE UP THE MATTER FOR FREE?
Here is an update on the case.
The 31-year-old dispatch rider, a father of two, has reportedly remained in custody for months after being arrested in connection with a disputed package delivery.
According to reports, a package was sent from Ibadan through a driver who was told it contained pampers. However, NDLEA officers intercepted the vehicle and, after a search, allegedly discovered over 6kg of cannabis inside the package.
During questioning, the driver reportedly told officers he had been instructed to deliver the package to someone at a designated location. The officers then placed him under surveillance to identify whoever would come to collect it.
The dispatch rider was later contacted by a customer and asked to pick up the package from the driver. He was also informed that the package contained pampers.
Upon arriving at the agreed location, he was arrested by NDLEA operatives before receiving or taking possession of the package.
Further reports indicate that efforts to contact the alleged owner of the package were unsuccessful. The individual initially agreed to send someone to collect it but later became suspicious, switched off his phone, and has remained unreachable ever since.
Authorities are reportedly working to trace the phone number and identify the individual involved, but the process has been slowed by technical and financial challenges.
A group of Fulani terrorists reportedly recorded themselves attacking and capturing a community in Ahoro Esinle community in Oriire Local Government Area, near Ogbomoso.. During the attack, they allegedly killed three community leaders, abducted seven men and ten women, and killed 25 soldiers.
