@_coachrachel Former D1 (and beyond) athlete here who is also the father of a former D1 (and beyond) athlete….and I would have loved the opportunity to fly the same charter.
@williamnyy23@RepMikeLawler Definitely truth here. Growing up, my parents paid a nominal fee for primary care. No insurance used. Maybe only Bronze plans should be offered. The caveat is pregnancy. It shouldn’t cost a young parent $20k to have a child.
@williamnyy23@RepMikeLawler Insurance is simply risk mitigation. I haven’t gone to a physician or used my insurance in 20 years but I don’t want to go bankrupt if disaster strikes. Just trying to make it to Medicare….
@williamnyy23@RepMikeLawler Buying private health insurance is cost prohibitive for most people over the age of 30. I moved from a Gold plan to a bronze (catastrophic) plan for 2026 because of the increase in premiums so I am not a fan of the ACA. It is still better than buying insurance on the open market.
@Calc_Chaos @RepMikeLawler A primary benefit of the extended subsidy is easing the cliff. No sense to get assistance if you make $83,499 and zero help at $83,500. That’s an expensive $1.
Premium increase according to Grok:
1) Rising Healthcare costs and utilization.
2) Shrinking Risk pool
@realdogeusa Not sure about the timing, but pretty sure about the bounce of the market, so much so that I have been buying equities on the way down and will continue to buy as we work our way to the bottom. High rate debt matures in the next 24 months and needs to be reissued at new low rates
@elonmusk@elonmusk I think this is Southlake, TX, where my wife test drove a Y before buying one. The protesters must have been imported. There are a lot of Tesla owners in the area.
