They have every reason to impeach DA Garza.
Do this, vote out Austin City Council incumbents Nov 3 and top it off with Yes to Prop I … and all of a sudden Austin’s back on track, baby!
TX Rep @EllenTroxclair to the staffer sent by Travis DA Garza at the House Oversight Committee, addressing multiple failures to prosecute that led to later murder victims: “How many people have to die in this city for DA Garza to do his job and prosecute criminals and give defendants and victims their day in court and their justice…”

The most INSANE things the City of Austin is spending money on:
$880,000 for “Undoing racism training”
$2.25 MILLION to help minority and women-owned businesses get city contracts
$6.6 million+ On deportation defense, lawyers and filing fees for migrants
An extra $1.2 MILLION to the Texas Harm Reduction Alliance, which hands out needles, glass pipes and cookers to drug addicts
$6.2 million+ for Austin’s DEI department
$58,000+ on a consultant to work on “preventing crime through environmental design”
$1 MILLION to redesign the Austin city logo (which everyone hated)
Roughly $485 MILLION on the homeless crisis since 2019.
Reminder, that MILLIONS have been cut from the Police Department, Fire Dept and EMS to make up for budget shortfalls…
Shoutout to @data_atx and @AustinJustice for helping compile all of this data:

Per resident Austin now spends ~$6,500.

No wonder City Council and the unions are hysterically fighting Prop I — the independent audit.

Today is the final day without scheduled NFL or Division I football for two straight months. When you wake up Thursday, a stretch of 61 straight days with at least one football game await, until there is nothing on the calendar Dec. 1 or 2.
The City of Austin’s employee union is trying to do their best to have Prop I the independent audit mandate voted down. The city employees are scared that they will be exposed. This is EXACTLY why we need the independent audit. VOTE YES on PROP I and expose the fraud and waste.
Court documents allege Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez struck an ICE officer with his mirror and led officers on a pursuit.
