The Fund cares for our nation’s critically wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and military families from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces
On June 6, 1944, Allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy in one of the most pivotal moments of World War II.
Today, on the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who fought for freedom. Their legacy lives on.

It was an honor to see the Semper Fi & America’s Fund logo on the No. 20 race car during the NASCAR Coca‑Cola 600. Huge thanks to our partners at @interstatebatts for giving our mission a place on the track, and to team @JoeGibbsRacing for driving it forward.
This race stands apart for its commitment to honoring and remembering. We are grateful to everyone who continues to support our service members, veterans, and military families.

In 2004, Marines from 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines — the India Raiders — entered the Battle of Fallujah, Iraq. Some, like Lance Corporal Justin McLeese, made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our Nation.
This Memorial Day, Semper Fi & America’s Fund honors the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of our fallen heroes.
At our Unit Reunions, Gold Star families stand beside the service members who served with their loved ones — remembering together, healing together, and honoring the unbreakable bonds forged in combat.
We invite you to watch Justin’s parents share their son’s story and how these reunions help keep his memory alive.
You can help make more of these healing reunions possible through our $500,000 Unit Reunion Match Campaign. Every dollar given will be doubled to help veterans reconnect, heal, and honor those they lost.
Never Alone. Never Forgotten.

While serving in Afghanistan in 2011, Marine Corporal Carlos Torres lost both legs in an IED explosion. Saving his life required multiple surgeries and overcoming life-threatening complications, yet his resolve to adapt, rebuild, and thrive as an amputee only grew stronger. Semper Fi & America’s Fund introduced Carlos to adaptive sports, opening a new path to healing that strengthened his overall well-being. On slopes, rivers, and trails, he rediscovered camaraderie, joy, and a renewed sense of direction.
As Carlos continued his recovery, The Fund opened doors with support that included:
· Adaptive sports experiences and clinics through Team Semper Fi
· Access to specialized equipment and expert coaching to return to the activities he loves
· Peer-to-peer mentorship and community with fellow wounded veterans
· Integrative wellness resources to build confidence and resilience
Today, Carlos is an avid athlete who takes on challenges once thought impossible, participating in activities both through Team Semper Fi and independently, including monoskiing, fly fishing, deep-sea fishing, rock climbing, white-water rafting, and mountain biking. Because of the ongoing support of our donors, he continues to grow stronger, discover new opportunities, and find a renewed sense of purpose.
Sending heartfelt congratulations to @DrBobParsons and @ReneeLParsons (@WeDealinHope) on these extraordinary and well-deserved milestones.
Being named to the 2026 TIME100 Philanthropy list is a powerful recognition of your generosity, leadership, and unwavering commitment to improving lives and strengthening communities.
We are also thrilled to celebrate Bob being named #17 on the Forbes Self-Made 250 list — an incredible testament to vision, determination, and impact.
Thank you both for the profound difference you continue to make for our nation’s wounded veterans, military families, and so many others across the country. We are deeply grateful for your friendship, leadership, and enduring support. 🇺🇸
Today, we recognize every member of our Armed Forces — those currently serving and those who have served. Your courage, commitment, and sacrifice protect our freedoms and inspire us every day.
From all of us at The Fund: thank you for your service. 🇺🇸

And we’re off! The 2026 PTSD Century Hike has officially kicked off in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Our team of service members and veterans took the first steps of their 100-mile journey today. Over the next five days, they’ll be pushing through physical and mental miles to spread awareness about the invisible wounds of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
This isn't just a walk; it’s a mission to spread awareness and every dollar raised in support of the hike helps Semper Fi & America’s Fund provide critical support for our heroes.
Let's show our veterans they never have to walk alone. 🇺🇸

Raised in California’s foster system, Robert “Justin” Lenorovitz joined the Army just before his 19th birthday. During his deployment to Afghanistan, he sustained a traumatic brain injury in an IED blast and was later diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.
When his time in uniform ended, Justin faced a new challenge: navigating the transition to civilian life. At the encouragement of family and friends, Justin leaned into his lifelong passion for baking and launched Spontaneous Confections, originally a pop-up offering baked goods and fine desserts that’s now become a brick-and-mortar store in Santa Cruz.
Through Semper Fi & America’s Fund’s Apprenticeship Program, Justin’s skills and business vision expanded dramatically.
“The Apprenticeship Program was a true ally in my business journey. My AP Advisor was always there to offer support and feedback, helping me navigate entrepreneurship with tools, education, and advice. The program also connected me with a network of veterans who understand the unique challenges we face, and their ongoing support has been crucial in helping my business grow.”
Paralyzed in a 2005 IED attack, Marine Lance Corporal Joey Lowe navigates life from a wheelchair, which has limited his use of his kitchen. With support from @HomeDepotFound, an accessible sink has helped change that, making everyday tasks easier at home. #HomeDepotFoundation
April is Month of the Military Child—a time to honor the incredible strength and sacrifices of military kids and their families. 💜
At The Fund, we know that "service" isn't just about the person in uniform. It’s a journey shared by the entire household.
Our support doesn’t stop with the service member; it extends to their loved ones, because they’ve given so much, too.

Today, on Medal of Honor Day, we recognize Lance Corporal Kyle Carpenter.
In 2010, while positioned on a dusty rooftop in Marjah, Afghanistan, Kyle did the unthinkable: he dove toward an enemy grenade to shield a fellow Marine from the blast.
Kyle nearly died three times during his evacuation and recovery. He lost skin, bone, and his right eye, but he never lost his spirit. Five weeks later, he woke up at Walter Reed to begin what he calls his “bonus round” at life.
In 2014, he was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Barack Obama.
Since receiving the highest and rarest U.S. Military decoration for valor, Kyle has gone on to graduate from the University of South Carolina with a degree in International Studies and authored his powerful memoir: You Are Worth It. He has also completed multiple marathons, married his wife, Brittany, and is now a father.
Kyle’s story exemplifies the highest order of service and sacrifice.

Today is K9 Veterans Day, and we’re celebrating the incredible four-legged operators who redefine bravery every single day.
Retired Master Sergeant Ryan Baker knows better than anyone that these dogs aren't just assets, they're lifesavers.
“Working as a Special Operations Forces Multipurpose Canine Handler and Trainer was the most rewarding experience of my career. From finding IEDs, caches of weapons/munitions, to tracking fighters on foot my dogs could do it all. The most rewarding part was finding IEDs, potentially saving the lives of others on our team, other Americans or the Afghan civilians.”
Join us in thanking these elite canine veterans! 🐾

On March 8, 2012, just 18 days into his first deployment, Specialist Andrew Smith stepped on an IED while on patrol with the 82nd Airborne near Kandahar, Afghanistan. He lost both legs, one above the knee and the other below, and suffered extensive damage to multiple internal organs. He was medevaced to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where he spent several weeks in the ICU.
Andrew’s arrival at Walter Reed marked a big milestone in The Fund's history. The Fund was founded in 2004 and originally assisted Marines and Sailors through Semper Fi Fund. In 2012, our assistance was extended to soldiers and airmen through America’s Fund. Andrew became the very first soldier assisted under Semper Fi & America’s Fund.
Andrew and his wife Tori were married for less than three months when he was injured. Tori left law school in the middle of the semester and remained bedside with him for nearly two years. The Fund was there with the entire family in the ICU room, throughout his recovery, and today, as Andrew and Tori raise three children.
Today we celebrate Andrew’s 14th Alive Day, and 14 years of The Fund helping service members and veterans from all branches of the military.
