The heart holds on longer than life understands.

Sanjeev Kumar loved Hema Malini, but she refused his proposal and married Dharmendra. The rejection broke him so deeply that he never married and remained alone until his death in 1985.

Sulakshana Pandit, who worked with Sanjeev Kumar in films, was in love with him. She proposed to him, but he told her he could never move on from Hema. So she too remained unmarried all her life. In her own words, she could never get over her feelings for Sanjeev Kumar.

Sulakshana Pandit passed away yesterday, on the same date Sanjeev Kumar had died in 1985. Two lives, connected by love that was never returned. A quiet, lifelong tragedy.

As per the preliminary report on the Air India flight 117 crash, just three seconds after take-off, the fuel switches were flipped from RUN to CUT OFF, one after the other within a second.

These are two separate locked switches; they can’t just move if someone brushes against them. They need deliberate, precise action.

One pilot noticed the switches were at CUT OFF and asked the other why he did it. The other denied it.

Could a mechanical or electrical fault do this? A fault could stop fuel flow electrically, but it can’t physically move the cockpit switches to CUT OFF as the switches are mechanical, not motorised.

Another theory: In 2018, the FAA warned that the fuel switch locking mechanism could fail. But even then, they wouldn’t flip to CUT OFF by themselves unless someone bumped them or there was heavy vibration. For both locks to fail and both switches to move to CUT OFF due to vibration or accidental brush off, all within three seconds, is extremely unlikely, unless something deeper was wrong.

Investigators will find out. But if the report is accurate, something far more chilling than anyone imagined is a remote possibility here.

Channels are now staging TV debates by pitting the mother of victim Raja Raghuvanshi against the mother of the accused Raj Kushwaha.

Indian media is a national embarrassment. In their shameless, relentless race for TRPs, they have abandoned every shred of integrity, decency, and basic ethics.

Things weren’t always this rotten. Then came India TV, which turned news into absurd entertainment with clickbait nonsense like "Kya aliens gaay ka doodh peete hain?" or "Dhoni ka 12 inch dilayega vishwa cup." When they started getting viewership, others followed their brand of news.

Then came Republic, and with it, the complete Bigg Boss-ification of news. It dragged journalism to an entirely new low of noise, and theatrics, turning news programs into low-budget family dramas. And seeing its “success,” every other channel decided to become a Republic clone.
