These laws are not perfect and as a visitor I had a much different relationship with them than locals do. But coming from the US, it was nice to see the country take public health and safety seriously.

In order to board your plane, you need a negative COVID test before leaving Belize.
Just took my first test ever and feeling blessed to see that negative result. 🥳 I’d like to thank my Moderna vaccine and Belize’s strict as hell quarantine laws 🙌🏽

In Belize you have to wear a mask in public at all times and there is a daily curfew from 10pm-4am. Your first offense is $500 and your second is $5k 😳
There are hand washing stations, hand sanitizer, and temperature checks outside pretty much every business.
