Vicki and I welcomed Idahoans and people from across the country at the Idaho booth at the @Freedom250 Great American State Fair today. It was a pleasure to share our love for Idaho’s culture, agriculture, public lands, and innovation. Happy 250 to all!! 🇺🇸
Happy Independence Day! Today we celebrate 250 years of American excellence. Thanks to the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought for our freedoms, we live in the greatest nation on Earth. God Bless America 🇺🇸
Around St. Maries, Hank Thornton is a legend. An Air Force veteran, Hank led the effort to establish the Veterans Outreach Center of Benewah County in 2018. Nearly a decade later, the Center is a lifeline for local veterans—providing mental health support, hot meals, and so much more. I’m proud to recognize Hank Thornton as the first Idaho Service Spotlight recipient. Please join me in thanking Hank for his outstanding service.
Idaho is strong because of the people who call it home. Today, I’m launching the Idaho Service Spotlight to honor these outstanding Idahoans and shine a light on those making a difference in our communities. Know an Idahoan who deserves recognition? Nominate them by contacting one of my Idaho offices at https://t.co/vGERsOICmK
Once again, the Gem State and @INL are leading the way in nuclear innovation! Ahead of the July 4th goal, America’s third advanced nuclear microreactor has gone critical. Congratulations to Deployable Energy’s team at INL for achieving this historic feat.
CRITICALITY NUMBER THREE! 🎉
On June 30, 2026, at around 11:55 PM MDT, @DeployableE’s Unity microreactor achieved initial criticality at @INL. It is the third nuclear test reactor this year to go critical under @ENERGY authorization.
Congratulations to Deployable Energy on reaching this historic milestone!
A MAJOR victory for women and the Gem State! Idaho was the FIRST to pass a law protecting women’s sports and defend the promise of Title IX. Today, the Supreme Court upheld our law – ensuring our daughters and granddaughters have the fair, level playing field they deserve.

The Supreme Court is due to decide its case on Idaho’s law banning men from women’s sports any day now. This commonsense law ought to be upheld under Title IX. I look forward to the decision and continuing our work to ensure fairness in female athletics.
As the birthplace of nuclear electricity and the site of the first advanced microreactor to go critical in 50 years, @INL is leading the way to quadruple U.S. nuclear capacity by 2050. Great to have @SecretaryWright in Idaho, the heart of nuclear energy innovation!
.@SecretaryWright at Idaho National Lab: "We have the new nuclear age beginning right now; the Golden era of nuclear energy—with soon to be our 3rd next-generation nuclear reactor to turn on..." 🇺🇸
Great meeting with some of Idaho’s outstanding National Guardsmen serving in our nation’s capital as we prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. To the brave men and women who stand Always Ready, Always There, thank you for your service, sacrifice, and dedication to keeping Americans safe.
Yesterday, my @SenateGOP colleagues and I passed the landmark Road to Housing Act to cut red tape, increase housing supply, and lower costs for Idaho families. It is long past time we make homeownership more accessible to Idahoans, and this bill is a significant step to doing just that.
The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act will lower the cost of housing.
This critical legislation will increase the number of homes available and help more families afford the home they need.
Today marks 54 years of Title IX — a historic law that promised equal opportunities for every American woman and girl. More than half a century later, those protections are still under threat. I’m proud to stand up for Title IX and fight to ensure women and girls have the level playing field they deserve.
Happy Father’s Day! There is no greater blessing than family and fatherhood.
Thank you to all the dads who work hard each day to support, care for, and prepare their children for bright future!
Idaho’s sugar beet farmers are facing significant challenges due to unfair trade practices. While in Jerome, I met with local growers at Henry Farms to discuss my efforts to protect Idaho’s sugar beet industry and strengthen the domestic sugar industry for years to come.
Idaho is home to over 12,000 veteran-owned businesses and is more than deserving of its own Veterans Business Outreach Center. Our veterans should be served by Idahoans, not an office in another state. I am requesting @SBA_Kelly establish a center in Idaho to provide our veterans with direct access to essential small business resources and local support.

This is great news for Idaho’s ranchers. Expanding grazing on National Forest Land is commonsense. It will strengthen food security, support Idaho’s rural communities, and keep our working lands working.
Today @SecRollins announced a comprehensive directive to all @forestservice employees, advancing the USDA-@interior Grazing Action Plan to strengthen American ranching, restore multiple-use management on federal lands, and combat regulatory lawfare against producers. 🇺🇸

Reliable water systems are vital to all Idahoans, especially our farmers and ranchers. At Shoshone Falls, I met with some Magic Valley’s water users to discuss everything from supporting the Snake River dams to canal modernization.
For more than 250 years, the brave men and women of the U.S. Army have answered the call to protect and defend our great country. We honor their sacrifice and dedication today, and every day.
