Today, Senator @JAKeyser and I asked AG @Raul_Labrador for a legal opinion on Idaho's Child Care Program after @IDHW admitted in writing it lacks statutory authority.
Minnesota just lost billions to childcare fraud.
Idaho's program is structurally identical.
Don't build Minnesota in Idaho.
These bills identified an Idaho problem and tried to solve it the California way...
45 feet tall dwellign untis in a subdivision (with no community vote and no appeal)?! You'd just find out when permits get pulled next door. Twelve units per acre, 1,000 square foot lots, and they retroactively voided contracts people already signed. These bills would nullify private agreements from the Capitol and called it "deregulation."
Go drive through a neighborhood built at that density. Seriously. Buildings wall to wall, no yards, one parking space if you're lucky, streets that can't handle the load. And we were about to mandate that for every quiet community in this state that zoned the way its residents wanted.
My own Canyon County Commissioners said these bills were "impossible to implement." Canyon County. One of the most conservative counties in Idaho. When the people actually responsible for executing this tell you it can't be done, that should stop the conversation right there.
And somebody needs to ask the obvious question nobody asked in committee. Who said these 1,000 square foot lots and 45-foot investor-owned units were going to be "affordable?"
Developers would've built them, priced them at whatever the market allowed, and walked away. Young families wouldn't win here. Developers would. That's the whole game.
People moved here specifically to not live stacked on top of strangers in an urban grid. These bills would have handed developers the legal framework to build Philly or Chicago right here, dress it up as a housing bill, and call it a win for Idaho families.
Nobody talked to me before these were introduced. A room full of Idahoans showed up to testify, signed in, waited. Most never got called. We ran out the clock on our own constituents.
So yeah, we killed them.
Next year lets come back with something built for Idaho. Commissioners at the table. Homeowners at the table. The people who signed up to testify and never got called? Them too.
Because the only people who seemed to have a seat at the table were the developers who stood to get rich off it.
And that's exactly how you end up with a California bill wearing an Idaho hat.
Well, here it is:
Conspiracy theory no more:
Not only did @DOGE confirm it — the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has re-confirmed:
Illegal aliens were issued Social Security numbers by the Biden–Harris terrorist administration.
• 270,425 in 2021
• 590,193 in 2022
• 964,163 in 2023
• 2,095,247 in 2024 — on their way out the door
With a whopping 1.4 million illegals on Medicaid.
You have been Robbed. Deceived, Blackmailed. Extorted.
For context, S.V. Dáte of the Huffington Post is not a journalist interested in the facts. He is a left-wing hack who has consistently attacked President Trump for years and constantly bombards my phone with Democrat talking points.
Just take a look at @svdate’s feed, it reads like an anti-Trump personal diary.
Here is my full response to his “inquiry.”
Activists who masquerade as real reporters do a disservice to the profession.
It’s not just old U.S. weapons left behind after the withdrawal—starting last August, Qatar began flying C-130 loads of new weapons and ammunition into Kabul. That’s our key U.S. ‘ally’ doing its part to keep terrorists armed.
I heard a saying once…
We can't keep going down the same road without eventually getting somewhere.
And now, in 2025, we're there.
Look at Europe where people rot in cells for speaking truth while "refugees" unleash hell in the streets, assaulting, raping, killing with impunity. Look at Australia. Look at any Muslim nation where freedom goes to die.
Did we really think we'd be immune?
That somehow America would remain untouchable while the world burned around us?
It’s an ideological war we thought would never reach our shores.
But it didn't just reach them. It’s conquering them.
As we saw yesterday, ideas have consequences.
And now, as it stands, America is the last flickering flame of freedom on a darkened earth.
And the demons are coming to snuff it out.
This is why our 1st and 2nd Amendments are everything. Because when they fall, America falls with them. When they go, we go.
And maybe we deserve it. Maybe this is God's judgment falling like a hammer on a generation so twisted it butchers children in the womb and mutilates them outside of it.
We deserve wrath.
But the Bible also reminds us that “mercy triumphs over judgment.”
So this is our moment to mourn, to weep, and to repent while there's still time.
What I want is a reckoning.
But whether that reckoning comes through us or from God, only time will tell.
Today, this very day, I stand before junior high kids in our homeschool co-op to teach them about Charlie Kirk. Because this semester, I'm teaching argumentation and fallacies, but the real lesson runs deeper.
Knowledge. Wisdom. Character.
An effective ambassador for truth carries all three like weapons against the darkness.
And if you want to see what that looks like in flesh and blood, if you want a man worth following, worth emulating, a man who laid down his life for truth…
Look to Charlie.
The Senate, through Senator "Not-So-Based" Mike Lee’s (@BasedMikeLee) reconciliation bill, plans to liquidate nearly two million acres of Idaho public lands (depending on how they slice it)...
This isn't a "housing fix."
It’s a calculated heist, handing our mountains, rivers, and forests to parasites like BlackRock or Simplot.
They’ll fence off our fields, lock up our streams, and turn our lands into private estates for global elites (think, Blaine County).
That’s one-fifth of Idaho’s public lands, erased for tax breaks for the ultra-rich.
"Let the FEDS manage the land!" (they say)
"The states will sell it the instant they control it!" (they say)
Uh, really?
Idaho manages 2.4 million acres of endowment lands and hasn’t sold them to developers.
The myth that state control "automagically" means privatization is a boogeyman pushed to justify this federal betrayal.
Idaho protects its heritage.
The feds?
They want to shove this through with 30-day land nominations, 60-day sales, and zero public input. It’s a rigged game, designed to kill our access to the wild. Billionaires have already bought up hundreds of thousands of acres and blocked public access with gates and armed guards.
How many more will follow?
This sell-off guts Idaho’s outdoor economy and our identity. No more hunting in the St. Joe! No more fishing the Henry’s Fork! Just “Private Property” signs for hedge fund lords. Idaho isn’t their playground. It’s our home. Senators Risch (@SenatorRisch) and Crapo (@SenatorCrapo) need to kill this bill.
Keep Idaho’s lands for Idahoans, not corporate raiders.
