At the Capitol for Chamber Day, meeting with chamber leaders from across the Commonwealth and the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership.

I’m pleased to announce $850,000 in Main Street Matters funding for downtown Erie. The grant will support restoration work at Flagship City Commons, creating 40,000 sq. ft. of affordable retail and office space and expanding opportunities for small businesses to grow and thrive.
I was pleased to join Governor Josh Shapiro, local investors, and community leaders for today’s groundbreaking of the new Trust Hotel in downtown Erie. This project will transform the historic Renaissance Centre into a boutique hotel and continue building momentum downtown.

Last week, I joined DCED Secretary Rick Siger for a Walk & Talk housing tour to discuss the growing need for affordable housing in our communities.
We must continue working together to expand housing opportunities and strengthen neighborhoods across Pennsylvania.
Erie’s Public Schools unveiled 12 new all-electric school buses, giving students a quieter, cleaner ride with no diesel fumes. These buses will also help save the district money long term through lower fuel and maintenance costs.
