What if I mute everyone's status on Whatsapp, let's experiment it till December. Thank God I already stop posting there, so it shouldn't be difficult.....
Imagine picking a fight with the Universal Catholic Church.
I knew the people in this APC government are foolish but I never knew they were self-destructive as well.
Thank you, Catholic Bishops! Just like the biblical prophets who spoke hard truths to rulers, this is the standard we expect from spiritual leaders โnot excuses like, โHe has done his bit, you donโt expect him to put on khakisโ.
There are many "God's generals" in the Nigerian church who possess the common sense to empathise with the masses and speak truth to power.
But since they don't speak mysteries and flaunt "blessings", we don't rate them.
From the era of Military rule and throughout the period of civilian Governments, the Catholic Bishops have a consistent history of telling truth to power. They have never been partisan.Every President they visited, they bring him a gift of Bitter Kola instead of Olive Oil.
Thank you but no thank you. It is an insult to John Cardinal Onaiyekan to put him side by side Adeboye. Catholic major seminarians are more sound than the latter. Please don't try this again ๐๐พโค๏ธ.
Hello there @PoliceNG, have you seen this?
Letโs assume some of your officers donโt give a hoot about Presidential directives, donโt they have any sort of personal dignity left?
Why is a policeman opening door for gehgeh after the background voice ordered him to?
I remember when Bishop Onaiyekan (as he then was) came down hard on OBJ when he was tacitly seeking a 3rd term.
The "progressives" of today hailed and praised him as the best Bishop in the black race.
Today, they are singing a different song about the man for saying his truth, as usual.
